Hello 5 lug bois. I've been scraping forums for a while TW, Custom Tacos etc. for insight about lifting my 1st Gen 5 lug! Interested in 4-5 inches, not trying to clear anything too large but looking for a similar stance to a Prerunner or stock 4x4. Below are the products I've compiled to reach that goal *I think* If I could get any info on if these would work together or ideas and products to reach 5" that don't rhyme with body lift. About a $1500 budget. Also pictures and stories not already posted to TW about lifting 5 lugs are very appreciatd. Our little boxes are getting less aftermarket support every year so it's been less than successful finding an all-in-one solution to this "close to the ground" problem.

    #1 Fabtech Spindle Lift Kit
    [IMG]
    #2 Daystar Coil Spacer
    [IMG]
    #3 Fabtech 2" Shackle Extension
    [IMG]
The coil spacers claim 1.5" combined with the Fabtech spindles the front would reach 4.5" The rear would sit at about 5" with the shackles supposed to add 2" with the AAL and shocks. Total n00b you guys so plz understand. A lot of the better kits were discontinued before I could even drive lol One last thing I know there are 5 lug lift threads but they aren't really to 2020 spec. Finally yes before you ask it would make way more sense to buy a Prerunner or 4x4. Sentimental value high school truck first kiss blah blah blah. Plz help get my mini truck in the sky thanks

If u do the fabtech spindles and shackle, with v6 coil springs and the spacer and 31s you will actually be a tad bit taller than a stock peerunner/4x4. 5lugs are p fun on the forest roads and around town for sure, have fun

Oh for real? That's great! Where would be the best place to get the v6 coils? Should I use the included Fabtech struts with them or something else? Shocks for the rear? One more thing do I need to worry about the UCA, sway bar anything like that? I talked to a Fabtech person and they said their current kit was bolt on but you know how that goes smh

I sold my 5lug, stay away from lift kits. Go long travel or solid front axle conversion? With 5 lug your always trying to make it a 4x4 capable truck.

What long travel kits should just look at?
Pretend like your talking to someone who is proud of themselves for finding a vacuum leak.

Mmmm. Total chaos makes a solid kit but your looking at min 4k for just the front setup.

U can beef up your truck a bit, throw on a rear pre runner locking diff "complete axle and leafs" then on the front either long travel or solid axle. The front suspension on a 5 lug is very weak. I would replace my ball joints every year to be safe. Thats just me..

Ouch. Budget is about $1500. I get what you're saying but I've already invested a lot of $ and <3 into the current 2wd truck. Maybe I'll find a used LT kit. That's a real risk tho.

I had my trunk since 04 and i only came across 1 used long travel kit. The kits normally stay with the truck because u need to cut and weld the shock hoops.

Fun truck to drive, i ran the fabtech ultimate lift. I dont think they sale that kit anymore because people kept confusing the lift with a offroad suspension and kept braking it

Yuuuup. And that's what I'm trying to stay away from. I only want minor fabbing or trimming. Something to take on or off if it comes down to needing another 4 grand and an open parking space lol. Spindles seem to be the best way ATM

Moog 81070 is the part number, they run just under 100 and add and extra inch of lift. I bought mine from rock auto, still need to install and the spacer

U put big enough tires and reinforce the lbj bracket with a rear regear/locker u can still have some fun with a 5 lug. Prior to lt, sas would run u another 2-3k more than lt most likely but yeah itd go anywhere

Oh u rite u rite. Yeah everything included in the Fabtech bundle. I've already found some wheels with the correct BS. Not too worried about how it will look as long as I can get the rear to look similar. Which will probably look into wheel spacers and longer lugs for that. You know it's funny I didn't read the entire story but that guy was literally a Midwest version of me as a teenager I had this same truck on countless wheel and tire combos. Ebay light kits, rattle can jobs and so much more stupid shit. Overall it's pretty good now though. Now that it's owner has grown up a little lol
