So, I feel like I've settled on this set up, based on all the research I've done on here, and elsewhere. Please let me know if I'm headed down the right path with this.

Rig is a Gen 3 DCSB TRD Offroad. I'm not doing any serious wheeling. Mainly just some really poorly maintained forest service roads that get super rutted out to get to fishing spots. I am commuting in this thing, to the tune of probably 20K highway miles a year. Just put on 265/70/16 Wildpeak AT/3s and Ray10s, no rubbing, so I don't need a lift for clearance. The main reason for me to address suspension is for a more composed ride on the highway, and less brake dive. I also want to mitigate the factory rake. Ideally I'd like to go up 1" in the rear, and 2" up front, but it seems like the rear demands nothing, or jumping to 2"+, which would then mean more like 3" up front to get rid of the rake. I like the simplicity of the 5100/OME set up and going with the 884 coil and leaving the rear as is works, and I think will look good with the non-upsized tires I'm running. I don't want to start chasing problems on a new truck, and would rather not deal with UCAs, diff drop, etc. Any hell yeahs, or dissenting voices on this set up to accomplish the task at hand? Also, mine is a '19 with TSS, so does a mild lift affect any of the sensors with that, or the adaptive cruise control?

I just did this same setup on my 2018 dclb on Wednesday and I am very happy with the ride. Still rides very nice. I found used OME 884 coils and then went with the 5100s set at 0. Ended up right about an inch to 1.25 inch lift. I also didn’t want to touch the rear end and didn’t. No issues with tss and took it off-road today and it rode as well as stock if not better.
    Does somewhat minimize brake dive.
If you want to be level you could put the 5100s on the second notch. Most will say not to preload ome coils but I will send a screen shot from headatrongs website that says not to go over second notch. If you want it dead level or close to, if you never tow, I’d say go on the second notch. That would give the inch plus the .65 inch from the second notch for a total of 1.65-1.9 or so. I’ll use this truck to tow my side by side occasionally so may leave it with the 5100s set at 0. I can take more pics if you need them.
Install was pretty straightforward if you have a jack, wrenches and necessary sized ratchet sets. Up to 22mm on both. Only took about 2.5 hours by myself and this was my first attempt tackling any sort of suspension other than rear airbags.
Lengthy reply, but let me know if I can be of any assistance as there weren’t many people running this setup on the third gens when I was researching.
Here’s my thread. No interest so I didn’t take pics.

And to be honest, you could skip the 884s altogether and run the bilsteins on the stock coils on the second notch which would firm up the ride a bit. I found the used coils for $80 so figured why not. I am new to Tacoma’s but that’s what I found in my research.
Also added the lift guide from headstrong which you’ve probably already seen, but in case you haven’t, here it is. I went with third gen bils and the 884s.

Thanks for the feedback. The Headstrong guide is a great resource, and what I based a lot of this off of. Would you mind elaborating a bit on how you feel the ride quality changed, or didn't change on road?

Just a bit less bouncy. Corners better too. It does feel great to me though. Ride quality is super subjective though. I’ve had quite a few other vehicles and this was the softest suspension I’ve ever had, but does great off road as intended. So it firms it up a bit, but still isn’t rough off road.
My big truck is a super rough riding f350 and I have an Acura RSX commuter car. Had a Camaro ss which was also firm suspension and an f250. So like I say, I don’t know what you’re coming from, but expect less body roll on the corners and less brake dive, while still being pretty damn soft in my opinion.

Cool, that sounds like exactly what I’m looking for. Thanks again for the feedback. This is my first truck, and my other car is a highly modified Audi SQ5 that’s lowered, with after market sway bar, end links, chassis stabilizers, etc., so it’s firm but really composed and well damped.

I wish Headstrong was closer to me. I’d really like to source the parts from the same place doing the installation in case any issues arise. I called my local 4wheel Parts, but they said it’s against their policy to combine the OME springs with the Bilstein shocks since they weren’t made for each other.

Do you have any tools or know someone that does? The install is super straight forward. I was hesitant to do it by myself at first and then just went for it. Not that bad at all and I don’t have a spring compressor. Literally took me between 2-2.5 hours taking my time by myself and then went straight to the alignment shop.

Couple quick pics I snapped in the garage. Raining pretty decent here today.
Trying to show wheel gap between front and back.

    Bump!
Hey guys have a quick question bout this setup. I have a 2008 DC TRD SPORT 2WD. I was looking at buying the 5100 setup with OME 885 coils but noticed that with my setup being a 2 wheel drive, non 4wd, that it would expect a 3" lift rather than a 2.5". I run stock sport wheels/tire size now and will prob be going with new wheels/tires but wondering if I should maybe consider the OME 884 coils since they offer a 2.5" lift rather than the 3.0" even though the setup i'm looking at includes a multi leaf AAL and Dirt King UCA's. any help appreciated... thanks guys as always! The salesman was great and told me the 885's are their popular choice. seems like they have great deals goin on now... link to setup below.
