They are designed to be used with stock coils.

I suppose you can, but to change the setting you have to take them completely off and decompress the spring all over again.

It's going to take going over a few speed bumps, or the like, to get it to settle to ride height. When you just drop the jack it's going to sit quite a bit higher.

so got the 5100s installed on all four corners. took it to the stealership to get the rear tsb done (free alignment on the 5100s). they are giving me shit for modifying the suspension. They also wanted me to put a load in the truck so that the technician could see the harsh ride. lol I laughed and asked them if I should go to home depot and pick up 20 bags of sand and drive it back. Couldn't believe they wanted me to load the truck up and take the technician for a drive. But, with a little persistence and speaking with the manager, they are going to put the order through. They did ask that I turn in the stock shocks though. Is that normal? Got to wait until Monday though.

is the truck going to find without an alignment til monday? light driving...maybe 60 miles.

They are supposed to replace the old shocks with new ones. So if you give them your old stockers, make sure they give you some new stockers in return in case you want to go back to stock.
