Ok so I've read a bunch of posts about height settings on the 5100's to level out. They all seem to be for nonTSB setups in the rear, or for v6's.

    So my question is:

I have an '06 access cab, 4x4, 4 banger, with the rear spring TSB.
I want to level my truck as much as possible with 5100's and stock spring. Anyone have a similar setup and what setting did you use on the shocks? Since the front end of a 4 banger is lighter than a v6, will you get more than 2.5" lift at the 2.5" setting?

Wisdom and experience on this issue is appreciated...

pretty sure if you set them at 2.5" then that's what you get. Your ride will be stiff though since you're preloading the shock that much. thought about using coilovers?

Yeah eventually. For the time beginning I was just going to use the 5100's. I was leaning towards the 1.75" setting, but the 12 year old side of me is kicking and screaming to set it to the max!

I'm no pro but I dont think 2.5 will be an option you have to worry about for leveling your truck with JUST the rear TSB and no AAL or anything

1.75" seems closest to level with tsb to me

there's guys on here who do & say they love the ride but i'd be afraid it be too stiff for my liking. i went with the OME 3" lift from toytec. going with 285/75s with new wheels when it all comes in.

    Yes.
Plenty of people set it up that high. I don't think it would be necessary and it wouldn't ride very nice. I originally had mine set at 1.75 with stock coils and that worn my tires out quickly enough. I switched to complete OME, as well.

    Yes.
With a 4 cylinder, I really don't think you want to set them at 2.5...for leveling anyway.

    Yup, 5100's all around.

Just measured. Rear is sitting 4" higher.
