Just installed my 5100s and set front to .85 and had the TSB done on rear springs.I debated having it done and was very impressed ,rides great. Was able to take advantage of free alignment no vibes or anything,I just wanted to give a little raise in front and keep everything in line.Anyone debating getting it done dont wait.:)

The TSB is definatly worth it. What kind of rake do you have.

From the ground to top of fender, measuring center of rim the rear is 371/2 and front is 351/2.But just picked up from dealer today so rear will probably settle about 1/2 inch more.Measuring from the bottom frame rail front and rear rear is about 1/2 inch taller.I am pleased with the little bit of difference, not looking for big lift.Just wanted to basically get back to where it was when I started and rides much better with new shocks.

Hey Skistoy. What size Duratracs did you get? I like your set up.
Did you get just 5100's in the front? or front and back too?

I got 265/75R16 , on the stock rims.
Just got the 5100s on the front. The TSB put new bilsteins on the back so figured why waste money on the back. Plus the back end is so light to begin with, i dont think the 5100s would make any difference in the back

I am working on the TSB now. Customer service rep said I should be hearing from the dealership soon.

Where is the TSB at now (I havent followed it). Does the 09 need it, or only specific 09s? Can anyone clarify for me? (sorry to thread jack.)

So the case manager from the dealership called and told me they would add the 4th leaf on both sides and replace the shocks all under warranty. He then went on to tell me that it is not advisable because the ride would be horrible. He said that out of the 20 or so tht have been done all but 3 have compained at how rough the ride is after the TSB. Any suggestions? I have an 08 DC, anyone else having rough ride issues?

It rides fine, a little firmer but it feels like a truck should in my opinion.
They told me the same thing.

Skistoy those Duratracs look great, i'm getting mine installed the end of the week!

Im with wildcat, the ride is slighty firmer, like a truck should be.
you probably wouldn't even notice unless you were told the springs were changed.
they are told to tell you the ride is so much harder hopeing you will decide not to get it done. Look on the this sight, havent seen anyone complaining about getting it done.

    wildcat, the duratracs rock!

I just had it done on my 08 DC and can honestly say it is NOT rough. It clearly has a more quality feel to it than stock. The ride (even with an empty bed) has improved. It is the best thing I have done for my truck. Believe me! I put this off for a long time with the fear I wouldn't like the ride. I was pleasantly surprised at how much better the truck drives, handles, and feels. Hard to explain but the whole truck feels more solid (like a $30K truck should feel). But definitely not rough. I've driven my truck for nearly 2 years. The last few weeks have been the most enjoyable thanks to the TSB.

I have a hard time believing the case manager was being honest with you. Also, they don't just add a 4th leaf- it's a new 4 spring assembly.

Scare tactic- I got the same treatment. My response was: Hey, it's a truck and should ride like one, not a Cadillac.

I got the TSB done on my 2010...it rides better in my opinion. I would highly recommend it. My dealer didn't hassle me at all. The service manager said that they should be fixed for 09 and 10 but I showed them the TSB and showed them that I had the same part number that the TSB replaces...so they did it. My dealership is awesome.
