ok so ive decided im gonna go run the 5100's for right now set at the 2.25 or whatever so i can clear 285/70r17 falken high country a/t

and for these size tires should it be set at 2.25 or 1.75?

    but!

heres the MAIN question:) i was wanting to buy the shocks 2-3 weeks before i get my new wheels and tires for money purposes and if i was to install the shocks should i just have them set already at that measurement 2.25 or1.75 and drive like that or can these shocks be adjusted after there put on meaning i put them set on stock height for now and update them w/o taking everything off to the lift setting of 2.25 or 1.75? when i get tires

is that gonna just be to much of a hassle and stupid?

The shock needs to separated so you can adjust it, have you looked into camburg spindles? I would go that route if your trying to fit 285's with out rubbin.

you cant adjust them while theyre on there dude. Its a beyatch. You gotta remove the coilover, take it apart, reset the lower coil spring seat, compress the coil and fit it over the shock, then bolt it all back up. Just ride around with a lift and baby tires for a bit.

its more than trimming. Your gonna have to grind down metal and weld supports back in. Look for "body mount chop"

Yeah, I'm running 285's with my billies @ 2.5. And after a whole lot of trimming I still rub. I just wish I went with a spindle lift in the first place. Plus it's not as harsh of a ride.

About a thousand, but you can still use your stock suspension if you want.
