So I'm planning on doing a 2" lift. I have 5100s and 887 coils. Initially I got a 1" lift block kit but when they came they weren't tapered. Now I'm thinking I should just do an AAL and be done. My question is, what lift height do I need to be level? I'm not too familiar with AALs. Do they have different heights or is it universal?

These are my measurements from hub center to bottom of fender.
    Driver Front - 20”
    Driver Rear - 21.75”
    Pass. Front - 20.75”
    Pass. Rear - 22.25”

I'm planning on running the 5100s at the lowest setting up front. Also, am I right in assuming that I'll need different shocks in the back? If so I'll probably go with 5100s there too.

Contact Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road and get their AAL and some rear 5100s. You won't be disappointed

I see that most of those are 1.5". Wouldn't that give me too much rake?

Aal give ya 1.5 inches about. No one will guarantee any lift measurement because it varies.

I've tried to do my own research on this before and there doesn't seem to be any AAL options that only add 1", the minimum looks like 1.5". So with 2" up front, you really could only do a 1" block to make it totally level. AAL with 2.5" up front would be the next best thing if you don't want blocks.

That's what I was afraid of. Not really looking to bother with UCAs and I'm sure I'd have to if I went 2.5". I guess a 1" block it is.

So the blocks that I ordered said they were tapered but they are not. Is it 100% necessary for tapered?

I've heard differing opinions on when you'd need UCAs - some say 2.5", others say 3", but I guess it depends on usage. Somebody on this thread mentioned talking to @HeadStrong Off-Road for advice - they should be able to clear up any questions you have.

1.5” wheelers aal is what I have a little stiffer but I’m good with it. Or you could do progressive aal just my 2cents

1inch or less, tapered not required in my opinion. 2in in or more, yes I’d do tapered at that point.

I like the rear to be a little higher so when I tow/haul things it doesn't squat. You could remove the overload leaf from the stock pack when you add the AAL and that will reduce the amount of lift

Yes I have the same add a leaf in rear. About 1” different from front to rear. Load the bed, put a shell or tow and your level with no bro squat!
Looks perfect. But some guys like to squat and look at the sky when they drive.
