When you purchased this lift, do the Bilsteins come with top plate? Every time I see the 5100s being sold on any website it never shows the top plate in the pic so it makes me wonder if you have to purchase that separately or disassemble the factory assy to re-use the factory top plate.

I used what was on the truck. I think you can have them put it together for extra.

Have this exact setup on my truck 5100's set to 0 with front OME 884's. I notice a clunk going over speed bumps (~10mph, anything less doesn't seem to clunk) and when offroad, can pretty much feel it through the steering wheel. Anyone else experience a clunk with this setup?

Bump! Hey guys sorry to bump an old thread
But I have a quick question bout this setup. I have a 2008 DC TRD SPORT 2WD. I was looking at buying the 5100 setup with OME 885 coils but noticed that with my setup being a 2 wheel drive, non 4wd, that it would expect a 3" lift rather than a 2.5". I run stock sport wheels/tire size now and will prob be going with new wheels/tires but wondering if I should maybe consider the OME 884 coils since they offer a 2.5" lift rather than the 3.0" even though the setup i'm looking at includes a multi leaf AAL and Dirt King UCA's. any help appreciated... thanks guys as always! The salesman was great and told me the 885's are their popular choice. seems like they have great deals goin on now... link to setup below.

Thats entirely up to ur personal preference on how you want ur stance lookin like. Its an estimated height, it may have a "bro stance(front higher)" at first but level out later as the suspension settles in.

I personally like a little rake (rear higher)..

And also if youre upgrading wheels depending on what size you get, a lil more height for clearance never hurts. Youll prob end up having to chop/trim anyways tho

I'm running 5100's set on "0" with 884 OME coils and a quarter inch top spacer on the driver side to compensate for lean. I also have 1.5" AAL packs on the rear with 5100 shocks. Larger tires alone will raise the truck some too.

Thanks! I pieced everything together. I got the rear 5100 shocks, front 884 coils, spacer, and AAL's from Wheeler's. They were out of stock on the front struts so I had to get them from TruckSpring.com out of Michigan. The tires are 265/70/17 BFG All-Terrain KO2s on TRD wheels.

dude that's awesome! looks like the setup i'm going for... even though I have a 2WD (only sports they had when I bought it new in 08). i'll def be going for the 4WD when the time comes for another toy! until then this looks like the way to go...
So I know alot of these are out of stock now, but I found a full kit from Offroad Warehouse for a little under $1300 total... includes the front and rear shocks, OME 884 coils, multi leaf AAL for the rear, and Dirt king upper control arms. Sounded kinda steep to me, but I guess including the UCA's that's prob not terrible... and kinda like getting it from one spot. I don't know anything about installing these things and asked around at a couple spots near me in mississippi to see what kind of price they would charge to install.
The 884's just looked to be about the right height that I was looking for as for my 2WD it looks like they will raise me about 2.5" in the front... the 885's were what they were gonna sell me, but I just thought that 3" on my stock truck might be a little more than I was thinking haha.. I'm definitely gonna upgrade the wheels and tires too...thinking i'll probably gather all this together and then have it all installed at the same time.. may look funny lifted with my stock TRD Sport wheels and mall crawler tires !! ha

link to the kit below and also some pics

That's basically what I did. I started gathering all the parts in the garage as they came in. I took them to my buddy's shop who installed everything at the same time. That's a good price with the UCA's too. I would expect to pay another 400-600 in labor to have it done if you don't do it yourself.

Sorry to dig this up but this is exactly the look I’m going for and you have the same tires I have with the wheels I’m getting for my truck as well.

How is the ride with the 5100 / 884?

The ride is good, a little bit stiffer than stock, but not by much. I'm actually switching the 884's out to 885's next week for a half inch more lift and will be selling the 884's.
