    I am not worried about gas mileage, it is what it is :eek:

    I found the CD changer here on TW in classifieds for $20 shipped. I snatched it right away!

    I don't know, they were part of Fat Bob's lift kit. I think they are around $60 by themselves.

    Thanks man! I do get rubbing at full lock with the stock wheels. With aftermarket wheels you shouldn't have any problems...

    That will be a while :( I am getting married April 2nd and its draining me... If anything it will be small stuff like seat covers, TRD off-road all-weather floor mats & I still gotta finish installing the OEM inverter...

    Few days ago I decided to modify my air box. Since people get gains from the "deck plate" mod on the 3.4L and many like it over aftermarket intake system, in theory it should work on the 2.7L as well. I took my drill and jig saw and in 5 minutes I cut a good size hole in my stock airbox. The hole is in the same level as the stock intake hole and several inches above the alternator, I am not that worried about hydrolocking since, I would probably get water in cabin and kill the alternator before I would take in water, remember to hydrolock the whole filter must be submerged in water and my truck doesn't see much off roading anyways...

    Now for the good...

    - its free!
    - it sounds like an aftermarket intake after 3k rpm and at about 50-60% throttle
    - I noticed better performance in higher rpms above 3.5K
    - I noticed better throttle response
    - I noticed the truck doesn't struggle as much on highway with cruise on in 5th gear going uphill at 75mph

    Now for some pictures;

    CIMG3731_c4422dde2736edf0035bc26c1a23b3e908ed721d.jpg

    Not bad for less then 5 minutes of work and no cost involved! I highly recommend this for the street trucks on budget! Unless you go through deep, deep water...
