    6" lift suggestions
Ok I can't take it anymore. I've got to take the plunge and go 6" with 35s and 20s. I know they will rub bad, I'm not afraid of chopping the front body mount and plating it

Ok now obviously coilovers would be ideal and also the newer upper a arms would be sweet.

Now, my truck isn't a mall cruiser but deffinatly no offroad rig. So I don't exactly need a long travel and crazy resi shocks.

I know the coil spacers will ride rougher, I could deal with it for a while until I save enough to get new coilovers. Now fabtech, rough country, pro comp? Any pros or cons? I found 4wheelonline sells a 6" fabtech for 1600 free shipping

What do you have experience with? Are you running the spacers up front? Does it ride ok? And lastly, I used to read on here about driveshaft noise. Was this ever fixed?

It's more on road than off, but I'm not afraid to get her dirty. It is a 4x4 taco now lol

First off welcome to TW! from New Orleans

You will also have to re-gear when you put 35s on. If I had to choose A 6" it would be Fabtech.

fabtech and pro comp are both gay lifts.

If you want 6" of lift and you want the truck not to look gay then go SAS.

Yea I was leaning toward fabtech. I'd rather coilovers for the front but can't afford those just yet. So I may stick with spacers for now.

I'd like to go SAS but this is my daily driver and I already have too many projects. I'll post pics of my other toys. I build most of my own stuff. So I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty. Thanks to those who didn't say use the search button. I'm on alot of forums and I've already read on toyotanation for two years. But it's dead now they told me about these boards

Any one have a 6" fabtech with spacers that can really say how the ride will be? And does anyone have driveshaft noise? I know that it used to be a problem like vibrations

The only way to get 6" of lift is to look at Dropped Bracket lifts- Otherwise, there's too much stress on different components of the truck. Fabtech, skyjacker, tuff country, make DB lifts.
(You were talking about coils/UCA's/spacers, it's different for a DB. It involves cutting your crossmember, among other things)

Also, you're going to need to look at new gears for 35"s, and two sets of them (for the front and back)

A friend of mine and a few people on here run 6" DB lifts with spacers for a 9" lift.

Don't waste your money by putting a drop bracket lift. You will regret it down the road.. Why don't you get a simple 3" lift like CO's and UCA's with a leaf spring kit?

When I say spacers I mean coil spacers. Which would make for most of the lift in the front for a basic fabtech. Yes I know it comes with 2 crossmembers and other stuff. That's fine. I just do t need a performance lift. But will upgrade to TC upper arms along with nice rear shocks and coilovers for the front at some point in time.

I just want 6"s. No more. The tires I want to run are 295/60-20 terra grapplers. About 34.3" tall. I know I'll have to mod the front cab mount. I can handle that.

What about the gears? How can I find out what gears mine has now? And what ratio would you recommend for 34s?

    04LT could I clear 34s with only 3"?
And that "simple" 3" will run like $1,300

I have the fabtec lift and love it rides alittle rough but its a 6" lifted truck. Saving for coilovers next. Get uca's and beefed up cb drop mount

You should also look into RCD lifts, you will achieve about 4" of lift. If i didn't put my 3" on my truck I'd get a RCD.

Depends on what you get. 3" lifts range from $600 - $1500
34's will need lots of chopping with a 3".

Some members run 4.56 for 34-35's IIRC
