You did a grill? I did body work as a 21 yo at a pals body shop I always loved it but could not do it full time got tired of coughing up live kittens. Ill hunt up some pic's of my 68 Ghia from the 70's. 3 years of body work and 10 coats of hand rubbed RED lacquer. She was hard too beat at the old VW shows. Jim

A pal from HS and his dad had a high $ shop they only worked on things they wanted to, old street rod's, t bird's, vett's, drop top caddy's if it was not cool it did not come in the door's. Too bad we did not know how bad that stuff was back then, Bondo dust open primer in the shop. Dave Sr. died at age 60 back in the 80's and Jr. died in 1990 of cancer of the lungs. Still mess them both, the A+ of the A+ Old school BODY MEN... Jim

I flew as an LNO on AC 130's sometimes when I was with 7th ID and always loved to ride Hueys and Blackhawks...Chinook's not so much.

The only flight I had on a KC 135 was when I caught a ride from Mildenhall to Pittsburgh when I was coming home on emergency leave when my Dad died. Great crew - made room for my wife and me after the C5 we flew out of Germany on had a landing gear malfunction that caused us to divert to the UK. When we landed at the Air National Guard side of the airport, they arranged to have a van waiting to take us over to the civilian side so we could catch a flight back to northeast PA. I'll always be grateful.

Here is what Navy airdales flew in my day> P2-E and A-4, we had some a-7's and f-8's and finally got an F-4. All our aircraft were used for experimental purposes. NADC (later changed to NAWC-Naval Air Warfare Center) Naval Air Development Center did alot of research on things used by our military today.

The shed is caulked and eady to paint. I also built out underneath the door to get ready for the ramp.

Off to run an errand for the wife. I have to travel 6 miles on the DC capitol beltway. This should be fun on a holiday weekend. :D
