    We ere lucky in my neck of the woods. There are 1700 homes without power this morning in Bowie, MD. Less trees down that I thought there wold be considering the aging tree population in our city.

    Ok here. We moved Lynn's parents up here yesterday afternoon in case we lost power. Lynn's dad is in a wheelchair and they don't have a back-up generator.

    Lost power at about 9 last ight - generator is keeping the heat, water, septic systems going plus it powers the refirgerators, freezer cooktop, some lights and the TV and computer. We consume about .54 gals of propane an hour so I've got 1000+ hours still before I'd need a refill of our tank (holds 1000 gallons but I am at 650 right now). No projection on when main power might be restored.

    We're still getting rain showers and some winds but nothing too bad. No damage to the houses and just some small limbs on the road. All in all, at least to this point, we were lucky.

    Something you married guys will appriciate.

    This morning on the way out the door to go to work my wife says to me "Can you clean the downstairs today we are having company tonight". Now we have all been home for two days and she tells me now. :laugh:

    So it is clean the downstairs, go vote, go to Kohls and Michaels Crafts, clean and lubricate the 2nd garage door and clean off my workbench so I have a place to work on the kitchen light projest.

    Retirement is FUN.
