I left upstate NY, traveled to AZ, then to FL, and back home. I drove about 6mpg over the speed limit and got between 22 and 24 mpg (actual calculated mpg). Most of the time it was right around 22.75 mpg. My truck had 1200 miles on it when I left and 7300 when I got home. My truck is a 2022 SR5 with 4x4 and a long bed. It has a Leer 122 cap mounted. This is my 3rd, 3rd gen and my two previous trucks never got over 18.5 mpg. My current pickup gets 19.5 to 20 mpg in daily combined driving.

That's about what I'd expect under those conditions with that truck. Long road trips will almost always yield pretty good fuel mileage. I've made multiple long road trips from GA all over the west. As far south as Key West and as far north as Maine and Montana. I've done it in 7 different vehicles and always do better than I normally do on shorter 200-300 mile round trips.

Probably a benefit of summer mix fuel. I get about 2-3 mpg better in the summertime. Congrats on the new truck. Enjoy.

How did you get your 122 without the bay window in back? I just ordered and it wasn't an option either way.

nice truck! the fuel mileage is what i would have guessed. keeping it stock height, running tires that are not over-sized and aggressive, and driving a reasonable speed will result in decent fuel mileage. i average 22-23 mpg consistently.

Beautiful looking truck. Nice write up too. I get similar MPGs when I do long highway trips as well. My numbers are a little bit lower because I have slightly bigger tires but I’m normally up around there.
