Yeah if you need help with it, PM me. You'll need a few specialty tools to do the job.

35mm socket to remove axle nut
Some heavy duty pry bars and a second pair of hands to pull the CV axle out of the front diff (fucker is on there TIGHT)
A seal puller to get the seal out of the diff hole when you remove the axle. It'll probably shred the rubber apart before getting the seal completely out.
Extra diff oil because a good amount will leak out once the CV axle is out of the diff (also a great oppurtunity to change out the oil in your diffs and transfer case if you need to do it)

Refer to this thread...they used a slide hammer to take off the axle, but with enough force on the cv coupling near the diff, it'll come out. Just don't pull on the cv shaft or you'll separate the U-joints.

    Good luck man!

Too many to list. See build page. Link in signature
:spy: that would work if I was alone. But I have a partner, and he's fucking beast! You seriously don't want to get hit by him. When I described him as a gorilla, it wasn't because he's a black guy, its cuz he seriously looks just like one

And we carry more than tasers under that suit... :anonymous: I'd hate for someone to accidentally get shot :duel: :quickdraw:

hahaha ya I had to change out one cv axle already cuz of a shredded boot... I remember how much of a pain that was... Lucky for me one of my best friends is a mechanic and has all the specialty tools you can think of haha... and I just changed out my front diff fluid 2 weeks ago I should have waited lol... but I slid the cv axle in a bit and it seems to have stopped leaking for now but we'll see how long that last but if i decide to do it Ill hit you up for sure... good looking out!! :D

What's the deal with LSD additive in new Sport Tacomas? Supposedly they don't need or it it's not needed?

I've seen mixed opinions on it. I don't think you need it because the 09+ tacos have the auto-LSD. It's a simulated LSD, I have it on my truck and it's an SR5.

If there is not a sticker on the diff says LSD Oil Only then its not needed...09+ tacos do not have a mechanical LSD
