Just an fyi guys. 3rd gen TRD Off Road OEM springs are 700lbs (I think the sport and sr5 are the same??)..... The ride quality is based off the shocks ability to dampen, not how stiff the spring is (within reason of course). So really if there is any question, just go ahead and get the 700lb spring. Thats just my opinion though. Installing the 3rd gen OR suspension on a 2nd gen adds around 3/4" lift and rides very nice compared to the OEM 2nd gen TRD Sport due to the valving in the shocks, even though the spring rate is 550lb from what I have been able to find.

Also, you use the 14" spring instead of the 13" spring you could run into spring binding during up stroke.

2015 DCLB. Aluminum front bumper, full aluminum skids, no winch or swaybar, steel sliders. Really torn between 650 and 700. Thoughts?

650 for sure. I was running lopro steel bumper, 10k winch, roof rack and RTT and 700s were stiff. It wasn’t until i put my sliders on that they now feel nice.

What springs did you end up with? I have a dcsb 4x4 with a relentless full hooped bumper, no winch, steel sliders, prinsu rack. I’m wondering if I should get the 650 lb or 700 lb springs.

I haven't pulled the trigger yet. Decided to wait and see if any black Friday deals come up.

Ive got a steel hybrid bumper, 10k winch with synthetic line, steel skids, steel sliders, and ARB compressor in the engine bay. Went from 700s to 650s and it feels great

I have an aluminum Demello Bumper with Smittybilt 10k winch along with aluminum skid plates. I run the 2.5 ICON with Res. and CDCV. My coils are maxed out to icons recommendation settings. My mechanic that works on my truck recommends I upgrade to 700lb springs. Going to take my chances....just purchased the 700lbs ICON springs. I’ll keep you all posted on how it handles:)

Reviving an old thread here, wondering if anyones used 700# on stock front end? It’ll be on a 15 DCLB. I saw a post up here earlier that mentioned the new TRD run 700 stock. Wondering if it’ll be too stiff? Sticks mostly to pavement, with FSR use. Drive fairly spirited on and off road so I like a firm ride, and might put front bumper on in future.

    Appreciate any feedback!

700 # springs are stiff, probably too stiff for an otherwise stock truck, but if you add skids and a bumper probably about right.

650 is a good bet if your truck isn't fat, and if you're not going to remove your sway bar.

Don’t see myself removing the sway bar, and so far it hasn’t put any weight on. I’m sure even 650 will feel substantially stiffer as compared to stock?

Then the question is, if I’m buying new springs, do I get 650 or 600.

I'd do 650s, especially if you like to drive fast.

Get 600s. I have the same truck, stock weight. Just had Elka do 600lb coils with custom valving. Rides like a dream (i like a plush ride). I wouldn't want any stiffer. In fact I probably could have gone 550lb and been ok.

Interesting. I ended up opting out of the shocks and will just be going with new 6112. I think they come with 600 anyway.

The Elkas feel pretty good hey? The LS here has lots of them.

Anybody in here move up to 700lb springs and have their 14” 650lb springs collecting dust? I’ll gladly take them off your hands!
