yea but it all depends on the unit you get, im pretty sure i saw one on here where they didnt have to but i have since gotten rid of that radio and traded it for my L7 and put a single din in its place but under the pocket and i cant even tell it was trimmed but if the radio is above the pocket you can:rolleyes:

it deffinatly looks good and it was worth it to me at the time, i just didnt use the HU to its full potention which was my reasoning for getting rid of it

I dont think i would spend 1200 on just a headunit... It looks sweet but you could get a 300 dollar headunit and go all out on speakers... Just my 2 cents

oh well no doubt if i were going to get a great one it would be alpine hands down but you wont catch me dropping that kind of dough on a radio....I had a Planet Audio...totally took a chance on it but i knew they had awesome amps and decent speakers and i really like the radio just didnt use half the features and woulda rather had the L7...& i dont go around bumpin all day just SQ and it does a decent job just needs a bigger amp by about 100 watts. I get compliments all the time on how good it sounds!
