I ordered the wheels through 4 wheel online and got the lugs through them too. Hopefully they work. I think he said that it was a Pro Comp lug kit with the lugs, stems, and a spline socket that's needed for the lugs

Big brown truck just left my house. I'm pretty excited. These things look nice. Found a local shop that'll mount, balance, and transfer tpms for about 140. Every shop around here wanted at least that. Some shops wouldn't even do it because I'm using my stock used tires and they said they don't mount used tires because of liability.

Do they make these in black? I've been looking around that site but can't seem to match a black set to the specs of these chrome ones?

So I'm at the shop now getting the 7089s put on the truck and I've run into two problems. First, according to my guy here, you do indeed need the ET lugs to safely put the wheels on. He said he usually wants at least 6 turns to be safe and these got just a hair over 5.

Second, and this one stumps me, but he says that the center caps don't fit over the 4 wheel drive hubs. He showed me, and the centerbore of the wheels is super tight already and be caps are too tight. For those that have these on their 4WD, did you just cram the thing on there, or how did you make it work.

I think you might have the hub centric wheels, you need the lug centric ones. Our trucks have unusually large center hubs and most wheels (hub centric) will not fit.

If you get the lug centric 7089 wheels the center hole will fit over the hub.

This is what I have gathered from reading posts for the past 6 months.

As far as I could tell they don't make these wheels in a hub centric version for 6x5.5's

I got the 17x8 in a 6x5.5 bolt pattern and they're lug centric. As far as I can tell they don't make hub centric versions of these wheels, at least in that bolt pattern, so i don't see how i could have the wrong ones

They'll probably fit if I just use a little force with them, but I just want to verify with others that have these wheels that the center caps are super tight

they make them in both hub centric and lug centric, we need lug centric.
Here's what my extra long shank lugs looked like
    [IMG]
As you can see, too long, causing the wheels to fall of as I drove.

Yeah I definitely got the lug centric ones. From what I've been able to gather they're just super tight on the hub. I guess I need to just take the wheel off and just beat the center cap till it goes on.

so the lugs that didn't work are the ET XL lugs then? I'm gonna order a set of the ET lugs from wheelers tomorrow, so that I can get a little more bite on the bolt than the pro comp lugs are allowing

This is what you need: http://www.brandsport.com/grla-21138et.html, the 21138ETXL is too long that it won't grip the wheel tight. I have this on for about 7K miles now with no issues. As far as the wheels, you definitely need the lug centric to fit your truck. I have this with my 4x4 with no issues. The center cap is very very tight, I don't how 4wheelparts fit this thing.

Thanks for the help. I actually got in touch with Wheelers this morning and ordered a set of the ET spline lugs. The Pro Comp lugs hold the wheel on, I just don't feel confident with how little they grab.

As for the center cap, I'm glad to hear from you and others that they're really really tight. Now I feel a little better about getting a little forceful with them. The lugs should be here Friday so I'll pull the wheels off and get everything put back together when they get here.
