It’s simple . Clicks right in..it’s taking the old one out without breaking tabs. All the screws!! Lol. Save the trim ring and old grill for a quick sell on Craigslist.

Mine was also and then I couldn't get tracking info anymore. Didn't think to screenshot tracking # either. I just found that if you use chrome browser on Ebay instead of app you can still get the info that way. It's on the way...

Probably the same one I got then. Shows City of Industry on tracking tho. Supposed to be here Tuesday from what I'm seeing now

Mine took about 100 miles. Not sure about anyone else, but still no garnish and everything works great.

Ah I see. I had a suspicion of that while I was removing them. Figured better safe than sorry and that maybe they helped hold it in. Guess not. So in that case its even easier than I had described! Lol

I'm about 1k miles post-install with the faux grille and garnish and still getting errors. If it doesn't improve in the next 1k, I'll try an OEM garnish. If I don't get it resolved by 3k I may go back to the OEM grille.

I may do the same thing if my issue doesn't resolve. The grill looks great but I don't want a dash light on or for the TSS to be inoperable.

It's a minor inconvenience for the most part. My daily commute has few opportunities for me to use the adaptive speed control, but I go on long drives several times a month and I really like it for that. Then it is more of an inconvenience.

I’m pretty sure my garnish is OEM. I got it off of Amazon, but it still had Toyota stamped on the back of it.

I really don’t want to go back to the original grill, but with a 25 mile highway commute I miss having cruise control.

You still have cruise control, just not the distance monitoring cruise control. Hold your cruise ON button for 3-5 seconds and it will turn on regular cruise control.

I’ve tried that and still haven’t gotten it to work. The “on” button is the button on the end of the stalk?

    EBay “PARTSGOD” is sellers name.
One piece center, no letters to stick on. Offer $130
I went with OEM garnish and no errors.

Stay away from the one I ordered. Apparently the seller had a bullshit description.

So I posted this photo in another thread, but as I read through this one I thought it might be a good idea to post. I originally bought an eBay grille and was initially really impressed with what arrived. I also ordered the OEM garnish to go with it and installed within weeks of purchasing my 2018. I immediately ran into the same problem many have faced and that is the garnish didn't fit in the opening. I ended up breaking a tab or two trying to fit it in there. I finally got it held snug in place with the snap springs, but it wasn't flush and I believe was causing me to receive random "Brake!" warnings. To be clear, I never had warnings that the TSS wasn't working or needed to be cleaned. I have since purchased an OEM grille, garnish and extended wire harness, because I was tired of the false alarms. The fit of the OEM grille was much nicer/tighter and the finish was noticeably better as well. Not a huge difference, let's face it, they're both made of plastic. Since installing the OEM grille/parts I have not had one false alarm. I'm not trashing the aftermarket pro grilles by any means. These are just my experiences after running the two for about four months each. I know several people that love their eBay grilles and I'm stoked for them. Hope this helps some. OEM grille is on the truck in photo.13C04A9A-7112-45FA-9B1F-FB613D3146A1.jpg

Dumb question from a new Tacoma owner but I bought a used 2017 Limited with 27k miles in immaculate condition a couple of months ago. I did the Pro grill replacement and looks great but there was no TSS module anywhere in the grill. Is TSS optional or is mine missing? Thanks.
