7th Annual South Padre Island thread!!! 07/23/2016

I'm gonna make a weekend out of it, so I will meet you guys in Harlingen or Port Isabel...got another two Tacos coming with me! I'm leaving form San Antonio prob Friday morning!

 

Im in! So whose gonna let me couch surf in SA the night before so I don't have to wake up at 3am to be in SA on time?

 

I got a futon or couch but I'm in New Braunfels and need to check with the wife. We're headed to the round up that morning to drive down with everyone so would be cool to have one more tag a long with us.

 

Looks like I may have another couple of people going, so we may end up just driving up early. Or parking somewhere and camping haha

 

Haha well there is a Bucees on 35 which is right by me and a fancy new shopping center with tons of parking Better than paying for an RV park Ill even come give you guys a wake up call with my car horn

 

I'm still planning on attending. Likely fishing starting Thursday. I'll bring a slackline.

 

I should probably make a list of "going" and "maybe" going list just to hold you all accountable!

Same here, i posted it in San Antonio Tacoma group on FB. Got a couple saying they are down....should be bigger than last year, and last year was great!

Yes next month...on 7/23/16. I too took Friday off to make a weekend out of it! Anyone heading out on Friday morning let me know, I should have a couple following me out that Friday 7/22. My plan is to drive back out to Harlingen or Port Isabel on Saturday morning to meet the group and drive across the bridge together!

 

I'd like to make it this year. Rebuilding the s/c which I hope to get on within next week finally. I want to bring the kayak out too.

 

I've made one every year, I've just been a bit disorganized this year.

 

Any idea on where we plan on hanging out? Are we doing the circle idea with 4x4 on the soft sand and prerunners on the hard sand or we doin the all the way to beach accesss 6 thing? Or just the usual access 5 and just park closer and when others decide to go for a cruise well put ice chest, cones, beach chairs etc.. So ppl wont take their parking spots.. I live on the island during summer and ive been going to access 6 almost daily fishing in a buddies truck. Might be too much hassle for prerunners

 

I'd say go through 5 just to parade and look cool and roll past 6, I rather pull a prerunner out than have a random minivan with a family of 15 who doesn't watch their kids and plays loud ass banda music park between us or the Trokitas del Valle Special (lowered Silverado) that always gets stuck trying to look cool.
Just my opinion cause I hate people, Not Toyota people though, I don't hate toyota peeps lol you all are cool as f^k

 

I agree with Gilbert! That idiot was parked next to me last year with their banda crap full blast....

 

Paradings always fun. I have to work at 5:30 and im a prerunner lol so ima need an escort out just incase lol. Access 6 will still get packed i believe
