I mostly keep it closed unless I'm using the lights.

Check out the WI threads in the Midwest section. Lots of us are active. We have outings regularly.

I recently purchased an Auxbeam 8 gang switch panel. I have 2 questions regarding the install. #1 What are you using for a mounting tray for the unit? I can't seem to find a tray that will accommodate the unit and breaker, without some type of modification or drilling into the vehicle. #2 I see several references as to running the main wire through the firewall, using the existing factory wiring loom grommet. Were EXACTLY would you cut that grommet, to eliminate any damage to the factory harness? And do I need to seal that hole somehow? Or is there a better routing option? Pictures would be appreciated and Thanks TW.

Got my 8 gang installed this weekend, pretty easy install and everything works so far! Only problem I had was finding a mounting location, I have a manual so where I've seen other people mount theirs is where the reservoir for the clutch is. I ended up having to drill 2 holes in the lid of my fuse box which I wasn't too happy about but I sealed everything with some silicone so I don't think water intrusion is going to be a problem.

I just purchased the Auxbeam 8 switch panel along with the R4T Runnjng For Tacos switch plate. Some cutting was needed, but I have my lights hooked up, placement on the fuse box nicely set, and it's been working very well for me so far.

I've the nilight 6 position in my 2nd gen similarly. pulled the switches up top put them lower and that panel fit just right over the plug holes.

oh yeah, works great other then where mine is mounted at times it sits at full brightness. until you cover the sensor then it dims.

youve had an issue with the backlight? have you reached out to nilight support? not a sponsored person or anything but I've only had to warrantee out 2 things, one cheap pod light, and a smaller new style "nixmen" pod light. that got some moisture in it had one, both still worked amazing. and both have now been opened and dried out, and I've thrown some RVT on the gasket spots. and have ended up mounted on other random toys.

For the price these are very good systems, I have had one for a good amount of time now and have never had any issues. Wish they made a 12 up version.

At the radio, and run a cat7 cable from the radio, mounted behind the rear seat panel from there under the carpet and up between the drivers seat and the center console, the mic sits in a cup holder for now. eventually I will have a mag type mount on the side of the center console.

Sounds like it could be an issue with the panel itself maybe? If it still turns accessories on then it seems like there's definitely something internal to the panel that isn't working right

You could check with Auxbeam and see what they will do for a Warranty, But since you didn't but directly though them I don't know how they will cover that?

I've got nilight panel and lighting, for them they just wanted a screen cap of the order from Amazon, and a pic of the defective product.
