24F2329A-6A10-48FB-8C14-9DBCB41FFAFC.jpg So I went with the 6 gang newer style with auto dimming feature. The auto dimming is nice and actually works quite well. Easy hook up and works like it should. Can’t complain 32ED9EFD-BE4C-4849-A49E-3AB37BC63EFC.jpg

truck is a mess I know

Here is a picture of my switch at night. Just a comparison with the brightness of the other dash lights.

There a wire that is attached to the fuse box that dims the board lights lol
If you look at my previous posts, I wired the dimming wire to a momentary switch. That way I can adjust the board brightness in my cab. Other people adjust the brightness by touching that wire to the battery positive terminal.

Look back at your install instructions and it will tell you which one is the dimming wire.
Also, you should cover up your blank switches with the black stickers provided.

My brightness wire was also white.

Mine has 4 or 5 brightness levels.
My board is currently covered in 3 lightbar stickers and 5 blank (black sticker).

    Daytime:
The brightest setting makes the switches very visible.
The dimmest setting is hard to see the light behind the switches.

    Nighttime:
The brightest setting is a little too bright.
The dimmest setting is perfect to see all the switches.

I leave mine on the second dimmest setting unless I'm doing a long road trip at night.

Mine is at it's dimmest setting. I definitely need to cover up the unused switches.

I do. I found out a couple of nights ago that I wasn't on the dimmest setting. I put it on its third setting. Much easier on the eyes:anonymous:

@Brownie_Man hey brotha, which acc fuse did you tap to have the backlight turn on when the truck is on for the accessory wire?

Installed mine the auto dimming is awesome works perfectly.

I’ll take pics of how I wired the stand for the fuse block I basically took my caliraised relay holder and drilled in two holes where i could attach the new bracket to it in the same spot.

I wired up my light bar and ditch pods as well as footwell lighting to it.

    Dang that's cool!
I still don't mind my setup with them momentary switch. The brightness is always on the same level unless it's it's a long night road trip.

Anyone regretting this purchase and not going with the spod or switch bros?
I’m eyeing this one and don’t really want to pay $500 plus for the others

No regret on my part. Works as intended. I couldn't see spending the money on a Spod either.

I’m not too technically savvy on wiring and lighting. Are there any huge disadvantages to this unit vs the other 2 , or is a lot of the cost savings because you aren’t paying for the name?
