80%

has anyone here made a lower for a ar 15 or 10 from an 80% with a jig?
been looking into making one and have decent fabrication knowledge and tools. just wondering if anyone has done it. i think it would be a great acomplishment to be able to make your own lower.

I've debated it, but there is a high perpensity to fuck it up. Especially if you dont have a really nice drill press.

The blank, and jigs, cost as much as a stripped lower anyway...

 

buy an 80% take it to a shop that has the jig and rent their machine out?

 

I love the idea of not having my name on the books. Not like I'm a murderer just think its a cool concept to build your own gun. I think I'm going to take on the challange in the next few weeks. I have some shop and technical skills. Check out my build.
