So, somebody gave me negative rep for my post in this thread. Who and why?

I think I heard you say before that your insurance deductible is 750? You should think about having that changed. What if something worse than a stolen converter happens and you just can't pay to fix it. No offense, just seems a little uhm, .......
As much of a rip off as insurance is, I bet a 250 deduct is looking nice now

Not that rep points mean anything, but to negate whoever gave you a minus point, I gave you a plus point.

if i had a $250 deductible my premiums would double. out of 5 years this is the first claim i have ever made on my insurance. My agent told me I am wise to have chosen the $750 deductible, seeing as how I have never made a claim. anyways Toyota quoted $1100 for the replacement so the insurance gave me the difference of about $300. I know i can get it done for between $200 and $400 i just need help finding the part!! :D

I say pay the difference between insurance and what the dealer wants to have it done right and keep your warranty on it.....Its terrible that this happened but things do happen

Find a junk yard with the part you need. Won't be cheap but will be cheaper if you can find one.

Drive thru an apartment complex until you see another Tacoma. Wait there a day or so until you can tell when the owner is going to be home for a while. Break out you tool bag, climb under that puppy and voila! new cats!

A second option would be to cruise the long term parking lot at an airport and find a Tacoma.
