Today I also put the bottle cap catcher magnet to the test in the bed. Works amazingly. Apparently holds up to 40 caps! ImageUploadedByTapatalk1422672990.506943.jpg

Ive done all that. Just take it slow and steady and you should be good. But I get how nerve racking it can be.

How long did it take you? Did you do the BHLM at the same time?

oh ya definitely do it all at the same time, you want want to pull it all part again. Took me a weekend just to allow the paint to dry overnight to make sure it really had time to dry 110%.

Really baking is the most nerve racking part. I would put it in the oven, let it heat up, pull it out and take out as much of the sealant as possible and repeat. Probably did that about 5 times for each light. It takes time, you just down want to over stress the grey plastic when trying to get them separated. I also did a write up on my entire processes.

Sand the magnet first. The first time I didn't sand it and the caps took the liner off the magnet.

Sorry one more right now. I see you left the bowls chrome in your BHLM. Can't you paint it black as well because the projectors don't rely on reflective surface to spread light?

Ya you can paint the projectors chrome. However, if you think you might ever want to go back to the halogens, you'll have to get either new bowls or new headlights all together.

One recommendation is don't do halos, I was told from the guys at TRS that they don't usually recommend them even because they so easily break. If you really do want some, get some tough ones from Oznium or something that will last you much longer and wont break.

Thanks for the heads up. I bought some halos but I've been thinking of not putting them in.

I'm excited to see. It did say that I should mount it 6 inches below the opener for that but it's only like 2. The caps will block the opener after a bit.

Don't be nervous just be smart and pay attention to what your doing, as long as you turn the oven off when you put them in there you'll be fine. I've done about 8 sets of BHLM and retros so let me know if you need some help.

I've done most of them for other people, I started out with BHLM on my truck then retroed another set of lights for her. I've also retroed my wife's 13' 4R. You should also check out hidplanet.com it's a forum all about retros with tons of info.

Wow if you don't mind I may be contacting you if I have questions during the process. I've been looking at hidplanet because TRS recommended them.
