Is anyone up on the difference between the Kenwood DNX 8120 (Looks awesome) and the new 7120.

I looked at the Pioneer D3 but this looked way better!?

My local guy has the 7120 in stock for $1300 Canadian but for $100+ more I could get the 8120.

All I really want is the video quality and GPS for now.

    Any feedback would be appreciated.

8120 you can find for $1079 at infinite electronics. I just bought the 8120 and should be installing within the week. Also look at Crutchfield to explore the differences between the two, the 8120 has the bluetooth already built in, has a relay that can control 2 external devices like your garage door opener or turn on/off lights similar to the homelink.

As mentioned... above, blue tooth and 2 external (home link) buttons
Got mine yesterday.... awesome, the 8120 plays ipod videos where the 7120 you need an older model ipod.
The blue tooth is awesome. BTW the controls same as reviewed with the 7120 suck until you get used to it.... then it's fine...

Hey I just checked the 6th ave site and they have the 8120 for only $1088, that seems like a great price.

Do these units maintain use of the steering wheel controls?

Yes you can hook up a back up cam to it, it is a rca style connector.

I want to buy BOYO VTL350 LICENSE PLATE CAMERA.
Is this dash unit will start rear camera automatically after you switch to reverse? How is sound quality?
    Thanks!

The Ipod works, but not Ipod videos...Not sure about the 7100... the 7120 (a newer model) they tried on the floor model and it does not work with the current "Ipod" "classic" (videos)

Is there a way to hook up the camera so that reverse works but also turn it on when ever you want to? The manual says you can hold the nav button for a sec and it will turn on the cam. Can you do both?

    Thanks
