    Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
    I dont think it will hurt it any, it is Toyota, drive the hell out of it! When I got my truck it had 35 miles on the clock and I drove it 445 miles back home in 2 days.

    It doesn't matter how much you drive a vehicle in what amount of time. Just keep it maintained.

    My old 2007 would see 900 miles in under 12 hours driving from Portland to Salt Lake on a frequent basis.

    39,000 miles in 13 months.

    well good choice on the taco then. keep up the reg maint. schedule and you should be good to go :thumbsup:

    as said before, intake and exhaust wont do anyhting for mpg really so I wouldnt waste my money unless you just want a louder truck.

    There are several constants in this scenario;
    • He bought a Tacoma because he needs one for his job and his personal life
    • The requirements of his job will likely not change
    • He's not going to buy a second vehicle to do his work

    So other than using more frequent service intervals and higher quality fluids and filters, there aren't really any other variables that can have an impact on the life of his vehicle. Neither option is rocket science.

    If the proper maintenance procedures are followed, then what else are you supposed to do? His truck isn't going to blow up at 50K miles because he's using it every weekend... maybe it goes 200K instead of 250K before a problem shows up. It's still a long way in the future.

    Stay away from crappy filters and cheap oils/greases and you've done all that you can unless you pick a vehicle specifically engineered for heavy duty service. He's already taken steps along that path by picking a 4X4 Tacoma over a Ranger.

    def dont want it louder. I had a feeling he was tring to sell me on some nonsense. He said " better flow in, better flow out, more efficient. better mpgs"

    Now that post provides some value. Your other post came off as, "fuck it, it's a truck", and that is what I replied to.

    Nobody said anything was rocket science, either. The OP simply asked if driving like he does is going to ruin his truck. The answer is no, but using higher quality fluids/filters will help. End of thread, basically.

    That's not a bad weekend! :)

    I put 8000 miles on my MINI within the first 6 weeks I had it. Took a 7000 mile road trip 4 weeks after I got it.

    By contrast my Taco still has less than 7500 miles. :)
