    Lol neva!

When I replaced the alternator, after we got the new one installed we had to adjust the timing because we fucked with the distributor? I don't remember why. I just thought I would have to adjust the timing like I did last time.

Don't touch the distributor and you won't mess up the timing.

I wasn't thinking about how tight it is in there, so you could pull off the radiator hose. I just unbolted the fan and shroud to get alternator out/in.

    OK I'll try that route.

Do the ends of these twist off or what? I don't see how to secure the wire into the holder...

Sweet. Now I just have to try to find one locally. I think Radio Shack has one...according to their website.

So I pulled the alternator out. Pulled the alternator apart and this doohickey fell out. You can see another one just to the right of the one I'm holding, still secure in the case. I thought I was just going to have to tighten the nut down on the power bolt, but now I reckon I'm gonna get a new alternator instead.

Yup. Then NAPA didn't want to honor my return. Long story short I got a new alternator, it also has a different style pulley, and got it wired in this morning.

I also replaced the fuse for my horn and hazard lights and viola, shit started working.

I'm going to Uwharrie this weekend to get muddy.

What is different about the pulley? As long as it is V-groove it'll work

The fan isn't a plastic one it is metal. It is still a v-groove for the belt.

Lol I'll have some with me. Not enough for two trucks though hahaha.

As long as I don't fry my new alternator I'm down!

This weekend I went to URE for the day to hit some trails with some buddies. I had a blast lol it was a muddy mess! I had to lay on the skinny pedal in places, which is something I hate to do when wheeling, but it made for a challenging day. I did a nice little number on my front diff too, forcing me to finish the rest of Dickey Bell in 2WD. Which I murdered like a boss.

    At the bottom of Daniel:

The furthest anyone could get up the first ledge was maybe another 3-4 ft into the mud hole in this picture. Everyone had to winch up. 4 trucks total and it took us maybe 30 minutes for everyone to give it a go then inevitably get winched up.

Coming up Dickey Bell. I had some trouble getting up this line because I couldn't find much traction, but I got up that with no body damage this time!

Then I did this at the top of Dickey Bell. Diff smash mod.

Haha yeah it is. I'm starting to mentally commit to redoing the suspension and dropping a 4.7 in a single case. I hope I can reuse my current axle with a new pumpkin housing and 3rd member. Going to gusset, truss, and rebuild the axle as well. May wait a tad longer on hi-steer if I get new tcase gears. I want both but can't afford both lol
