Still have a lot of work to do but i finally rolled her out of the garage today on her own weight.

i could not be happier with how this thing is turning out.

thanks guys I ordered a set of 3.16.100 and a set of 3.18.200 springs. with 2" of preload on the springs I have about 5" of straight up travel. im going to through some more pre load on the springs I may have to order stiffer uppers either 125-150 id like to keep my pre load around 2". im going to shorten my bump stops 1.5" overall also. I'd like to have 6.5" of straight up travel with 2.5" of bump stop and a ride height under 25" with the rear end done.

progress has been kinda slow ive been doing some side jobs, and I was in texas for a week working. Now I have to work the next two weeks straight minus a day trip to sema. I have however ordered more parts I got a tg power steering kit and also my front and rear fiber glass fenders came in. pics.

here are the rear shock mounts I built for my buddys Cherokee

all hannaman he makes the best looking fenders for the early yota stuff I think. the rears I wasn't sure were going to work but now that I have them I think they will be just fine. you have to cut out quite a bit of the rear wheel well which with a low riding runner on 35's I need.

Sweet. They are nice I agree, I like the squared factory style opening over the round fenders I have seen.

Been workin for almost three weeks straight haven't had much time to work on my runner mounted limit straps and checked for tire clearance with the new fenders, but we did squeeze some time in to at least get one thing running. Here is how the Cherokee's final product turned out, it really really looks clean and simple. He drove it last time for the fist time says we need to do a little dialing in but felt decent.

busted ass today and was almost able to get her drive able. had a buddy come over and throw all of the suspension under the truck while i finished up building the oil cooler mount. Id be out working on it till its finished tonight but u realized i do not have banjo bolts for the tacoma calipers im super bummed. so ill try and find some tomorrow and try to drive it before work. only thing left is finish up some wiring, brake lines, and fuel lines and ill be able to drive her again i cant wait im super excited.

    thanks man!

welp i was finally able to get here finised enough to get her out on the trail this weeking, and man was there a shit load of work that had to be done. luckily i had 4 of use working on the truck to get it ready and barely made it. i was happy to get it on there but it was for sure not ready for the kind of weekend i gave it. not only that but shit started going wrong right off the bat.

    list of shit that sucked:

    1. my half ass alignment wasn't really working very well, needs to be take in and professionally done it wasnt to pull to the right between shifts.

    2. the brand new tg powersteering kit took a shit within 3 miles of being in the dirt. i have a call into trail gear about this bullshit im extremely not impressed with this set up. on top of it the install instructions are terrible and we had a hard time getting everything to work. my dad just installed his tg steering kit on his 3rd gen runner and works great however so hopefully tg doesnt try to fuck me on this.

    3. shocks were horrible. i think my spring rates are ok but the ride quality just beat the fuck out of us all weekend. stiff enough that i couldn't tell when we would hit a bump stop or not and it actually cracked the weld where the engine cage meets up to the frame on the pass side of the truck. The shcoks are valved at 55/75 and i think im going to drop it down to about a #30 on compression and see how it feels there. my buddys jeep is running a #30 comp. and it feels perfect.

    4. bump stops are to long at 3" im going to shorten them another 1"

    5. the rear end sucked obviously because its stock and didnt help that i added a 3" lift block in there so i didnt have to trim my fenders for the weekend.

    6. coolant res i got isnt big enough and doesnt have a return line so it just puked all over all weekend.

    7. while installing my lift block my dad pulled my e locked harness on accident and now my e locker wont work.

100% of this is all due to me trying to get this thing done so i could get it out there this weekend. now that ive got it out of my system i will be tearing the whole truck back apart and re doing it all and actually making it right. i am for sure bummed at how the whole weekend went down but this is part of doing this and i need to remember that when i get pissed. but on the bright side this 4wu front three link kit sure does flex like a mofo!!!! here some pics fron the weekend!!

im ordering bypasses for the rear next weekish and hope to have most of the rear fab work done by the end of the year. i pilled the truck back into the garage and got it all set up to start working on it again. today i boxed the shocks up and sent them out brain said he should have them back by next week sometime and i also pulled the bumps out to shorten them.

what my garage looked like after getting the runner ready for thanksgiving. luckily a buddy came over and helped me Clean her all up.
