885 or 887 on access cab?

    I ordered my Dakars and now it's time to start thinking of the front.

    I'm replacing my LCAs, cams and bolts, and putting on LR UCAs. I figure why not add coils to my 5100s while I'm in there. I'm thinking 885 with (or without) top plate spacers or just 887 maybe - might be too tall?

    Truck is a 2012 V6 Access Cab 4x4. I frequently have my winch on and it has steel cable (heavy), but I often keep it in the bed of the truck for extended periods. The truck carries a lot of tools and other weight in both the bed and cab. I ran it over a scale today and it weighed 5840 with me, 3/4 tank of gas, and everything that's always in there.

    Opinions? Experiences? Thanks!

    I had 887 on my dc. Rode fine and for the spacer it would be the driver for the taco lean

    I am running 887 on my AC 4x4, but have weight up front, SOS bumper, skid, and sliders. Sagging a bit. I think 887 would get you 3" up front.

    886 is too stiff a ride if you don't have the weight upfront (steel bumper and winch)

    887's on my 2012 AC w/ top plate on driver side. Not stiff at all.

    FYI I have a driver side top plate spacer on my current setup. Now that I've replaced the body mount bushings I have reverse Taco lean. Taco lean isn't a suspension issue any more than malaria is caused by bad air.

    Would you guys mind measuring your center of hub to fender height for me. I should fall somewhere between the two of you with a heavy (for body type) truck, but without a bumper. Once I get my Dakars on next week, I'll know where I want to be height wise and you guys will be my gauge for whether I go 887 or not.

    Interesting. That's exactly where I sit currently. I'm on 5100s at 1.75 with the winch currently on the front of the truck. I don't have fender flares anymore, I think they sit lower than fender a bit IIRC. Food for thought...

    Now I'm very interested to hear what number @Incognito is sitting at.
