Where did you find them? I bought four about a week before Home Depot stopped carrying them and Phillips quit listing them as something they made. That was a few months ago.

I read that in your post and was not hopeful at all. Found a deal for 6 on eBay last Friday and grabbed them. Worked out to $2.26 each delivered. And I have 4 spares.

@EDDO I saw an Ebay add today for six too. Maybe the same seller. Thinking I might buy too so I have more than two spares.

Haha Yeah I'm a little nervous about that too but hey YOLO. lol. Honestly as little as I'm in reverse, they should be fine. I'm going to keep an eye on them for sure.

I didn't realize just how poor the LED reverse bulbs were until I took this picture. Huge upgrade, especially up here where it's dark for six months.

I did the 886 Mod last night they looked way brighter than the LEDs that they replaced.

    EDIT:
The LEDs are brighter when you look directly at them, but their projected light is very dim. The 886 Halogens are not as bright when you look directly at them, but their projected light beam is brighter and the pattern is better for actually maneuvering the truck in reverse.

For what it's worth, I've had the 886 bulb mod done for over a year now with no melting of the reflective lenses. I've had my truck in reverse for up to 2-3 minutes at a time with no issues noted so far.
