I actually love the crewmax look. If I could afford the 13 mpg I would have got that config.

Funny I think it looks good with the short bed. I think the long bed looks strange.
    To each their own lol

I still drool over a clean rust free 2005-2006 Tundra, that was a perfect truck right there.

Most of my summer jobs involved 8 foot bed trucks of all makes, models, lengths. They are fine if you're driving in a straight line or in a small town. Inside of a city or anywhere you need to learn, well, it's a challenge that you learn from I guess.

As for the ride it's just a bit more exaggerated then any 6 foot box truck. You will have to learn some throttle control on slick surfaces and weight is a must if you're heading up the mountains but other then that I never had any complaints about the Tundra that weren't just Tundra complaints.

My double cab rear seats didn't recline. I thought that was a CrewMax thing.

Mine willl be driven in Los Angeles downtown and century city and Santa Monica

I am not worried about that. People daily drive chevy c4500 and hummer h1 and unimog

I already have some rear wheel slippage issues on my Tacoma's That necessitate adding weight to bed via camper etc especially in rain and snow conditions
