Guess this may not be a Tacoma since it has no model except pick up.
Problem is has leaking pop up moon roof. believed to be factory but cant find info on it.. have it compleatly sealed with gorilla tape but still some leaking from hindges..
What could it be from? my next step is to possible tape up the front windshild.

Yes, that is a Pickup. What model, an SR5? the SR5 was top of the line back then, so a moonroof is possible. Is it a hand cranked moonroof? If not, then it may very well be aftermarket. Gorilla tape will not completely seal it, so it could be the tape. If its the windshield, often it will run down the inside and drip from the front of the firewall area onto the floorboard.

So i have put a weather proof plastic over it with clear waterproof tape. Also i have taped up a few spots on the windshield that looked to may be part of the problem. So far it is not leaking at all as long as all areas on sealed off.

to narrow it down, remove the tape from the windshield, and see if you get any more leaks. or vice-versa. they you can hopefully pinpoint it better. good luck!

If it’s factory, there is most likely a rubber drain line from the roof down one pillar to the door area or the engine bay. That might be clogged up. You can blow it out with compressed air. That’s a place to start.

I searched all around the rubber seal and could not find anything, but may have not pulled it apart far enough to check. It has some cracking so was a little worried of pulling to much and it cracks more.. Not something I want to put a whole lot of money into yet since i just got new lights and working on the tail lights. the important legal road things..
