Alright so I have a 95 Tacoma with a 2.7 and my power steering is starting to whine. I've checked my fluid and it's full. It is definitely not a belt squeal I'm hearing, it whines like it's low on fluid. I've never had a pump go bad on me. Does anyone think this sounds like a pump going bad? This truck does get 4 wheeled so I'm wondering too if maybe something is dirty and needs to be cleaned. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

i have the exact same truck as you with over 200,000 miles. it makes that sound, except all the time and loud. i just bought it and a friend told me its the bearings inside. he said to either buy a new or reconditioned pump or tear it down and take it to a bearing shop and have new ones put in. hope this helps.
