So I have a 96 2.4l Tacoma showing the code P0340 for the camshaft position sensor. From what I’ve been told the sensor is built into the distributor. Can someone please confirm this for me, and if so what is the best replacement?

It appear as though it IS part of the distributor.

The G signal plate has one tooth on its outer circumference and is built into the distributor
