'97 headlights

Hi,
I had the 7X6 sealed beams which I swapped out to 7X6 conversions. I am looking to get a new set of housings to do a HID retrofit in. I have looked on a few online stores for the housings and when I put my truck info in, they show the '98-2000 style headlights as well as the 7X6 conversions. Is this a mistake or will the '98-2000 headlights fit my '97?

 

no, the 98-00 headlights wont fit your truck. Totally different design. The confusion comes into part because in 97 the 5 lugs switched to the plastic headlamp design like the 98-00.

Look into round eyes if you want some better housings.

Thanks for the input. I didn't think the 98-00 lights would fit.

Those lights that round eyes have are exactly what I am looking for, a little pricey compared to the Pilots I was thinking of getting that don't have a completely clear lens.

I'm running the e-bay diamond crystal H4 headlight conversion on my Tacoma w/Sylvania ZXE "Xenon-filled" bulbs and couldn't be any happier.

Changing a bulb > Changing a whole sealed headlight ALL DAY!!
