Any one have a cure for this. I have to stab the accelerator a little bit to get it loose each time.
Accelerator sticks only when you let off of the accelerator completely and than get back on it.

I had to pull mine off to clean it enough to stop that. Try with a toothbrush and a solvent based lubricant wd-40. Remove the air intake tube, open the butterfly and scrub the black carbon out of it. Finish by spraying a bunch on the inside and put back together. If this does not work the remove the throttle body (buy new gasket first) and clean it.

    getting there....
definitely clean the throttle body real good...spray down real good with seafoam deep creep and scrub it with a toothbrush.....scrub the butterfly as well. sounds like carbon is making it stick.

why is everyone so worried about the accelerators getting stuck.. Toyota's slogan is "moving foward" doesn't say shit about stopping, does it..

That throttle body is a pain to get into. I got partially into it and cleaned what I could. The accelerator loosened up great!

Had the same problem w/my 91. pulled off the intake air hose before the throttle body and sprayed the hell out of it w/carb cleaner. wiped all the carbon off where the plate comes in contact when closed. No more problems more than 5 years now. Easy fix for me-hope it is for you also.
