1998 TACUMMINS and BS

So long story short, I was planning on dual cases, 1 tons and 38’s with the factory 3.4 v6.
But that quickly escalated to what it is becoming now.

4bta 3.9L Cummins.
T19 ford 4 speed
Atlas 4
King pin Chevy Dana 60 (4:10)
Corporate 14 bolt (4:10)
3 link front
Leafed rear (for now)...
Plan on running 42” iroks or 43” tsl sx2’s

Decided before I fully weld up the link bars I’m going to insert them either with a solid bar or another tube to help strengthen them since they are 55” eye to eye. Also figure this truck will be really heavy and I really don’t want to bend them when on the trail.

Plan on making this truck somewhat streetable so should be interesting

 

Should be awesome but it has been a major pain in the A$$ so far and Not going to expect any different the rest of the way.

Was going to put a 5.9 12valve in it but decided I wanted to keep it looking mostly like a Tacoma and not a Frankenstein truck.

Need to order my air shocks and build hoops so I can get it sitting on all 4’s soon.

 

Will it be a diesel? When I hear Cummins engine I think of diesel, but there's alot I don't know.

 

It will be a Diesel. Currently has a 3.9L 4bta Cummins in it. I just finished up the engine mounts and the engine is sitting in the truck. Trying to find info on the trucks wiring so I can get lights working again and then I’ll get the engine running in the truck.

Hard to see but the shifter is going to come out directly under the dash.... definitely going to have to custom bend a shifter.
Still need to tear down the trans and put the new shaft and adapter plate on so I can attach the transfer case.
