Oh, and I forgot to add that the damn mount broke off at the weld from my turbo, so I have to reweld that and a vband snapped on the driver side header. Must've been from the last wheeling trip? Thinking that may be where the squeel was coming from.

    Oh snap! (Ba da tshhhhhh)
Are you talking about that 3/8" dowel/rod that supports the weight of the turbo between the turbo flange and the exhaust manifold flange on the passenger side?
And did you use the clamps that came with the CX kit?

Ooo that sucks. I don't trust those CX clamps to hold themselves together, let alone a hot header pipe lol

Not sure they'd do anything? Guess I could try. Wouldn't hurt. I'm getting it welded back on so no biggie. I definately don't want to pull off and mess with those headers again. Pita.

No man, your totally cool. Thank you for sharing this. I appreciate anything on my build, especially if it helps someone out. Cool seeing the numbers. You gonna get one done after you put the 3.4 in?

I don't know. If I get the same deal. Then I will. I think every third Saturday they will do it for 30-40 bucks cash. But it's a quick run. No tuning. I'll see. Right now I just hope it starts. I've never done a swap.

Yeah, once you posted I began wondering about all that. Never done a swap either. Sure it's nothing nice, but very doable with our trucks. Compatibility making things much easier.

Josh, any updates? Any word on if and how they are going to tune your truck right? I wish Toyota ECUs weren't so hard/impossible to alter fuel tables on, because doing all that from a single AEM unit and 6 big injectors is going to take some serious genius to do right.

The shop it's at they are badass. All kinds of turbo vettes, ricers, a twin turbo 67 camaro. I am concerned too, but keeping my fingers crossed. Guys on custom tacos have run the fic in the past. Checked on it yesterday and dropped my clutch and flywheel off. Should be on the dyno next week getting tuned and hopefully running some numbers. Computer is in, valve cover seals, injectors, putting in ik22's while in there. Tuning without meth first.

Also picked this up last night........funny story too.

    20151002_053019.jpg

It was going onto a 4runner, guy ended up selling it cuz he went with Dana 60s. Guy I got it from, turns out he has a Baja tacoma too. Went out to cali to buy it. Needs some work but pretty cool. Caged, bed cage, fiberglass. He was going to put it on his but is short on cash so I got it from him ($300, Craigslist). Even dropped it off at my house. Blown seals, but housing looks straight, axles rotated nicely. Going to put a new 3rd in it with my stock 4.10 gears and an arb locker. New brakes, seals, and bearings, oh yeah, and truss it.

Dude! Not too bad for 3 bills! You'll have to have a shop press in the seals unless you buy a press and do it yourself.

Excited for hopefully getting her back this week! I want to post up some vids of the dyno runs, boosting on the street, and some sound clips of my exhaust. And a little hill I go up where the tires break loose in second gear.
