Yeah, you should cap the MAF def. Also does the ecu cut fuel or timing? In your situation make sure you're not pinging or something and its cutting your timing.

Pretty sure it just cuts fuel.

any CEL while it's cutting out or after?

have you done any data logging while you are doing these runs? the AEM will do that, limited time to internal memory or can output to your laptop for more and longer data logs.

No cel. Not sure how to do the computer tuning. Why I paid for it...... :tinfoilhat: I know I could but how much time would I have to invest. Easy enough to download the software and plug it in, after that I'm not sure how user friendly it becomes?

    I have a laptop too.

You logging on your FIC? Might help you troubleshoot. If you get a OBD reader and logging software you can get fuel trims, etc...

lots of info from aem on youtube about setting up base maps and tuning. it helps to have someone else either drive or tune for you. I'm not a fan of dyno tuning, road tuning is what you have to live with day to day. You're not a drag racer just looking for WOT for 1/4 mile.

Its hard to road tune legally or safely.... With a mustang dyno, you can dial in tunes very accurately if you know what you are doing.

When you bought your Solo Motorsports fabbed 4x4 spindle, did you get the lower uniball conversion upgrade as well? I have been looking at those 4x4 fabbed spindles lately.

Yeah I did. And the heimed steering upgrade. Hopefully getting it all on soon. I'm excited. And a little nervous until it is on and everything works. Mostly worried about welding on the gussets. (Cam and bucket) I'm waiting on brake lines right now......they forgot to send em with the kit. No biggie.

I'm pretty stuck with stick now unless someone can tell me what gas I need and rods. I have a tig too, just need to learn how to do it. Should take about 30 minutes right?

My stick welder is a 220v 3 in 1. Has plasma too. Unfortunately I am still barely learning to stick.

I know man, shit we do sometimes? Pisses me off too I didnt. :notsure:

Could try and sell the 3 in 1 i have and pic up a mig, but I see $500 going out the door real fast again. After bottle and wire.....either that, or the guy that tig'ed my exhaust, I pay to show me how....? He said he'd think about it. There are definately worse things in life so I'm not complaining.

if only there were some virtual place where you could just enter a question and get an answer, and inside that place there should be a location of nothing but videos and you could find one that should you how to do stuff.

In my experience, the brand of rods and/or wire you use is the single most important factor. I did my whole exhaust with some expensive stainless steel rods I got on eBay. Not only was it super easy to do but there are no leaks at all whatsoever. When I helped Josh out with his welding, we were using small rods of his and some way cheaper SS rods I got on eBay also. That was not fun. I would trust my life on these and recommend them to anyone for auto/exhaust work. http://m.ebay.com/itm/ZENA-3-32-NO-Gas-Stainless-Steel-Arc-Welding-Rods-/331410744398?nav=SEARCH
