TIG is nicer but slow and pita for some situations. Mig is just fast and easy to do most work on. Why Id do that

Had to get it towed to the shop. It was wayyyyy to rich. Seems like afr's dropped somehow after I got it? Maybe ecu learning? Ate a quarter tank of gas on two trips to work. Then went fubar on me on my way home. AFR's went all over the planet....finally died out. Tuners are understanding and cool, they are looking it over and going to re tune and dyno more. Said plugs may have been fouled also. Disappointing but its what it is. Neither I nor the tuners wanted this.....just being patient.

Damn that sucks. How many miles did you drive to burn 1/4 tank? But it's good they're understanding. Make sure you record this time around lol. Sometimes patience is key.

    Are you running colder plugs?

That's *exactly* what I was afraid of when deciding between bigger primaries and 6 more injectors with the port fueler. Oh well, hopefully they get it right.

Maybe 50 miles? I have denso ik22's meant for the s/c. Said he didn't gap them....?

They should. Pretty sure other dudes have gone this route with bigger primaries and aem fic. They make a plug and play harness for it? I think they need to not just give me a tune and send it out, but spend some more time on the maps and adjusting my ebc....

    Thx......

Didn't filter the cam signal? Dont boomslang harnesses include the resistors?

Not exactly. Boomslang has been doing FIC wiring for the 5VZ for years now.

The issue may be: If its wired up correctly to run secondary injectors, its impossible to tune the primaries. OP, you need to run stock primaries with the URD port fueler or get a new tuner if you want to tune all 12 injectors (probably going to have to be stand alone).

The wiring is supposed to have stock injector from the ECU connected to injector inputs on the FIC and the outputs go to the injectors allowing you to change the signal.

When you run secondaries, you just tap the stock ECU wire with your FIC input wires and the output injector wires from the FIC go to the secondaries injectors.

The fic boomslang and fic6 are not set up specific for the urd port fueler though. Others have run just primaries off the fic. I'm confused with what you are saying ^^^^^^^.

My understanding too is that boomslang did have issues when they first started making the harness, and have long since corrected that. Like you said they have been making these for almost a decade.

Maybe just bad tuning then. But you can't use the FIC to tube both primary and secondary injectors. You will need an additional controller or a standalone to tune your secondaries in the future.

I have a different tuner, but I'll be trying to tune up 550cc primaries in a few months. The ecu seems to learn the same way in closed loop. We'll see how long I put up with the stock ecu

Don't know if you have a boost gauge, but could be an area they didn't tune at the bottom end for drivability light boost. That area of the truck is annoying where standalone it purrs like sex.

Yea think you're confued. He doesn't have URD port fueler. And the boomslang harness is not made for doing the URD fueler either.

Just sounds like a bad tune to me.
