Not sure what drive shaft you're using but the parallel input/output only applie to a one piece. If you have a double cardan you want pinion angles and shafts to be very close to the same. The majority of the angle should be across the DC joint.

Dude, he's got like 8 million posts in his build, plus I've read it front to back like 3 times. Lol. Hard to find stuff fast. Appreciate it though. Anthony is helping me out with a few things, measurements and such

You have a 1st gen which is double cardan joint. Parallel at ride height to a few degrees pointed down. I pointed mine down slightly to counter the torque when you accelerateIMG_20150425_100826.jpg

Kind of freaky looking at your baby like that. It's like a half truck. Only the frame past the cab, besides part of the fuel cell. DAY 1 BABY

GF was a beast woman! Helped out quite a bit and I introduced her to the pleasures of grinding.

Cool man. Still unsure though, but the consensus is pretty much straight on. I remember Jason kicked his up like a degree or 2.

It would be down because when you accelerate the diff will rotate up and the whole thing will be closer to parallel. It won't vibe when you take off hard.

    Edit
You can set straight and be fine too. This down is only 2 degrees I did. Helps with big power. Axle wrap like a mofo on a long travel truck

Hey, just a thought, before you go jumping this, may want to re-enforce your turbo flange onto the frame of the truck. Lots of weight riding on your exhaust studs.

Damn holy mother of work. And grinding sucks donkey balls, I mean not like I know, but probably something like that. You know, when you start out project, I say to myself, " I know something will go wrong." Because it always does. My new saying before I start, " I know 11 things are going to go wrong." Just helps with sanity. About 3 days of work into this and I'm ready to tack the perches and ds angle.

    20160505_141405.jpg

Lots of rust. Thinking Toyota bullshitted us on the frame replacement. Since the beds off might as well clean it up. Just some random rust/cleanup shots.

So, off the top of my head.....had to open up the bash plate holes so the ubolts would go through, find correct ubolts, get upper shock tabs, mod the ..... out of the axle truss to accommodate the bash plates and ubolts. Ummmmm, modify the spring perches to fit the bash plates, ubolts, and t100 axle. Ummmm, prolly like 5 other things. All in all a good day. Lots of progress. Shocks and cycling tomorrow.

Bigger holes on the left bash plate.

Yeah, I'm going to run a rectangular tube across the very back and I have the frame reinforcement plates to do the sides. I'm sort of stuck on how I want to carry a spare or possibly two. I just do not see myself EVER needing 2 spares.

I've seen them ran both ways. Seems like out of 100 trucks, 50 are front and 50 are back. I really want to know what's best. If you say foward then I'm willing to go with that

From what I've read going off the front helps to reduce axle wrap. A lot of it will have to do with your bed cage set up too. If you go off the back with the 3" tabs the bedcage is gonna be really far back or the shocks will be angled back

This rear LT and "bed cage," is way more involved than what I had imagined before I began. It looked relatively easy but there has been way more to figure out than what I planned for. Messed up the ds angle so I had to cut off and redo the perches. I set it without the ds on. Oops. So now it looks about right from stuff, to droop, to ride height. Got my shocks sweet spots measured and I'm about to tack up and build the bed cage. Here's some progress pics.
