I think @GioGuitarDude runs his pre maf. If you get more solid readings this way I'd convert. I know there's been a lot of discussion on this before.

I dont regret it! Once I got my alignment spot on this thing handles good on road. Better than OE for sure. Floats over a lot of stuff. And off-road it's straight beast mode with the tires aired down.

For me, yes. The temp reading is ambient and not post intercooler (which is always gonna be hotter), so less timing is pulled.

Well... your intake is so purty. You may have to cut some charge pipes or just get a coupling to fill the gap right?
    I would definitely try it.
The worst thing about it is the air whooshing out through the MAF after a nice pull, which can stall the truck if you go into neutral or push the clutch right away. Other than that, the performance is better

Huge part of me rather just jump to a ms3 instead of fighting my mapecu3. Drives me nuts how slow the stock ecu is.

It's honestly been pretty cool using the MS and I haven't even put a ton of time into tuning so far. Just the timing maps alone made the truck so much more responsive. Plus now AFR's drop instantly when I hit a couple pounds of boost. I'm just waiting to have some time to install an Intake temp sensor and redo my IC piping a bit to get rid of the maf. The only thing I haven't figured out yet is getting my idle speed a little lower

You can go Maf Delete with your setup. You have everything you need. I bet you could get it to run better that way.

I like the idea but it sounds risky. I think it would conflict with the factory ecu when not in closed loop.

So the PO told me the fuel filter was changed among other things and everything was serviced through Toyota. Interesting. 194k miles possibly on an unknown fuel filter change. Wondering if I can find out if the one I pulled off was from the factory. I actually noticed a big improvement! My idle is better, my afr's, cruising is better and it seems as bit pepper. I have a feeling that filter was problematic. Unbelievable........
