Lessened the heat soak going to the intake. Also wrapped the maf it may see cooler readings. Pretty much going to say this is mandatory. The charge pipes get SOOOOOOO hot from the engine bay. Header wrap is like $20 off ebay. Did this today lol considering I've had that header wrap for over 2 years now.

Did the same to mine with a lace up thermal wrap. Temporary-ish, for the same effort. I agree. Gets cooled down then heats back up in the bay.

I cannot understate how smooth my afr's are now with that on. HUGE HUGE HUGE difference! It use to jump around on me quite a bit throughout the rpm range. Now pulls are super smooth afr wise. I'm steady between 11ish to 11.9ish depending on rpm. And I can pull after pull and it stays consistent at 11.5ish. That is INSANE again. Everyone that has a turbo has to do this I'm serious........the heat soak that it prevents is phenomenal. I noticed how hot my charge pipes were not just now but for a long time of monitoring them. And i mean very hot. I thought about wrapping them some time ago. I also saw someone did it recently. Again it is absolutely mandatory imo to do this. The heat soak it prevents is incredible.

@GioGuitarDude have you done this? I know you measure your IAT's and I'd be curious to see if you do this the before and after.

I like to look to race car builds, then builds which trickle down from there. Implement in some form what they do because they have studied the "why's". I will say that the common denominator between all race car builds is this: Heat abatement. Heat abatement. Heat abatement.

You'd probably like having a turbo blanket also. That turbo hot side gets hot.

I had an eBay one that lasted for some time but eventually started burning. And I'm not talking about the brake in burn they get.......maybe a better one you think?

Very. Had a DEI one, and then the PTP one. PTP is all around better.

For over the turbo you want a better one. I bought one for my truck on eBay but luckily it a super small company that makes them in the us. Really sad I have high quality parts over my eBay turbo.

I seriously tried to jump her (and I've gotten all 4 off the ground in one of my previous vids). It's deceiving but this was really steep and too tight. E for effort at least. Next time I'm finding something suitable and ramping up to go big.......
