@99nmtaco check that the rear breather fitting and hose is clear and not obstructed anywhere. Often times if that is clogged the axle pressure will push fluid past the axle seals as the next path of least resistance.

    Miss getting to see yall!

Thanks @NateMob! I actually ended up doing the extended rear diff breather mod right after this so its got a brand new breather on it now. So far so good, but we shall see with time. We miss getting to hang out with you too man, hope all is well!

Forgot to post this up, out enjoying the snow we got last weekend. I really love how these ST MAXX tires handle the snow and ice!IMG_20190114_002848_275.jpg

Dude I know right! I think they offer them for a 17" wheel. Is that gonna be the next tire you run on the Cruiser?

yeah they do, possibly my next tire. I'm kinda over MTs at this point, If i can't make an obstacle with dual lockers, my 3 link setup, and a 35/37 all terrain i probably should just take the bypass or turn around.

Haha ya, I cant imagine theres too much you cant tackle with your current setup. I've seen you hit some crazy lines on smaller tires with 1 locker and make it.

Well right on schedule with my build update once every 5 months lol! Today we decided to upgrade the stereo system and found a killer deal on this kenwood unit. The wife is happy now that she has something with bluetooth capability and our son is more than thrilled to watch movies while we're on the road. We've been planning out a few more things for the 4runner in the next couple of months. I'll update more as we get the parts rolling in!

Today we were browsing a few other items and ended up pulling the trigger on a 4xinnovations rear bumper with tire carrier and a full ADS suspension from SRQ Fabrications!

While sitting in a drive thru this past Sunday I started to smell a hint of antifreeze, so when I got home I popped the hood and sure enough I found out why.
    20190715_163514.jpg

I found a decent size crack in the top front of the radiator. Thankfully it didnt seem like it had been that way too long. So I ordered up a replacement and installed it Monday after work.
    20190715_172453.jpg

While I was replacing the radiator it gave me the chance to install my B&M trans cooler I've had sitting around as well. This was pretty straight forward to do and didn't take long at all.
    20190715_174740.jpg 20190716_215010.jpg

After everything was installed I topped off the fluids and everything is good to go now! We should hopefully be getting a few of our new parts this week and will start installing things this weekend!

Some of our parts arrived today! 20190718_185343.jpg
My wife has always wanted a snorkle on the 4runner and I wasnt about to pay the price of an ARB so I ordered up this one on Amazon. I've seen some reviews on it around the forum and so far it looks to be of decent quality. I'll be sure to post up install pics this weekend.

So this weekend I finally got around to installing the knock off ARB snorkle. Before installing it I went ahead and got rid of the crappy power antenna and did the taco whip mod.

    Out with the old.
    20190803_232427.jpg

Found this tacoma antenna assembly on Amazon.
    20190803_215528.jpg 20190803_232342.jpg 20190803_235009.jpg

For the actual antenna I wanted to go with something low profile and not overly flashy. I picked this up from Antenna Masts R Us, and it works great! We get better reception with it compared to the factory one.
    20190803_235037.jpg 20190803_235208.jpg

After that was all done I got started on setting up the template and cutting into the fender.
    20190804_100950.jpg

Then I mocked up the snorkle to make sure it was sitting right and bolted it in.

Finally recieved our 4xinnovations rear plate bumper last week. I am extremely impressed with the quality and fit of it!
    20190903_140624.jpg

Over the weekend I got it mocked up, painted, and installed. Now I just need to paint and install the tire carrier.

Well the new inner axle seal lasted almost a year before having to do this again.
    20191014_194014.jpg

I think I know what caused the issue this time. After further inspection the inner oil seal looked fine however, the inner collar on the axle shaft wasn't quite making contact with the inner oil seal. Looking at it through the ABS sensor hole you can see the collar next to the toner ring that wasn't all the way to the seal. The seal itself sits about 7/16" to the right when looking at this picture.
    20191013_174122.jpg
    20191013_200341.jpg

I didnt get a picture of the final assembly this time but I made sure that when everything was pressed back together that the inner collar was adjusted to sit in the right spot on the axle shaft. Hoping this is the last time I have to go through this.

Now that I have the rear axle all buttoned up I figured it was a good time to start tearing out the old rear suspension so I can install the new stuff from ADS. Those adapters that came from Toytec for the upper shock mounts were a real PITA to get off!

Finished up installing some of the new suspension parts this weekend. Got the rear ADS shocks, OME 891 springs, Durobumps, and Wheelers rear extended brake lines on.
    20191020_153121.jpg

Unfortunately one of the brake line fittings from the factory hard lines is leaking so tomorrow I'll have to replace it. Can't wait to get the 4runner out and see how it feels with the new suspension!
