    No more Turd-gen :)
Some of you are going to be elated to read this but after several years, 3 generations of Tacoma and a few accounts I believe my time with TW on the Tacoma forum has run its course. I believe I've made my point concerning certain things; maybe a little too much at times but when trying to make a point on TW sometimes you have to push twice as hard as the people pushing back. In all honesty I don't belong here that much as I no longer drive a Tacoma and I feel that me and Toyota are square in my personal situation.
To help understand my motives, I had a 2012 Tacoma which was a great truck. I fought with Toyota pretty hard to get my vibrations addressed but in the end was black balled with the usual answers of "its your tires" or "characteristic of the vehicle" that were all too familiar with. After some time although I figured the truck would run forever and overall was a good truck I just couldn't justify to myself keeping a truck that had vibrations.
I was SUPER excited when the 3rd generation Tacoma was released and watched all the dumb ass videos of chief engineer Mike Sweers talking about how its a "totally new truck" and "all the vibration issues were resolved". I test drove the 3rd gen for about 100 miles and couldn't have been happier. I figured I had my 2nd gen truck reborn with an awesome interior, cool gadgets like crawl and best of all no vibrations and issues that plagued the 2nd gens. I purchased the vehicle and was probably the biggest Toyota Tacoma fan for a 1000 mile radius. Pretty soon after purchase I began having pretty bad issues to which I am not allowed to speak on as I signed a confidentiality agreement with my lemon law repurchase. Long story short I felt like Toyota had screwed me not once but twice. Perhaps it was my own stupidity but I felt like I tested the new 3rd gen as much as the dealer would allow me to drive a new vehicle and at the time of purchase I didn't notice anything wrong. Its only after these Trucks getting some miles on them do some of the issues present themselves.
But I digress, I have been made whole by Toyota and now enjoy a 4runner very much. My purposes here was to maybe warn others of problems, fight back against the people that say there are no issues, enjoy a little general comrodery, maybe stick it to Toyota a little bit and yes occasionally troll cause hey its the internet.
I must apologize to anybody I have offended or pissed off with my comments to date. Please understand my intentions were to help for the most part. Some people don't want to hear that their purchase may not be the best thing since sliced bread. I can totally understand and respect that. Truth be told its a Toyota and there is a reason I am still driving one. The resale will remain high and I am confident Toyota will address the issues but in cases such as mine perhaps not quick enough. I encourage you guys here NOT to bash people like smitty or anybody else truly experiencing problems. Instead work as a community of BRILLIANT people ( most ) and find resolutions one way or another. There is rarely a more proud moment on TW then when a problem is truly figured out and addressed and I feel a lot of that is missing in the 3rd gen section.
So in closing Thank you guys for several fun years, all the advice and opinions. TW is no place for bullies and whether you agree or disagree with someone's opinion forcing your ideals by berating people is not what its about. I too forget that occasionally. Keep this a community made for enthusiasts and people to come for answers. Good luck guys, eat a dick @Chile Verde - I'm out.

Glad to have you share your story, Anyone who thinks these things are without faults is kidding themselves. I've only got a 1,000 miles on my 2017 Tacoma and so far so good. Glad to hear you got taken care of despite the troubles. Enjoy your 4runner! Captqc

With someone to spend the amount of time writing this gibberish and couldn't spare a few paragraph breaks to not make my eyes bleed, it's been a pleasure...to see you leave.
