Sorry chad I lost this post!

I have some serious vibration in the front end. Feel it in the floor boards and the steering wheel. I recently changed inner and outer tres, uca bushings. I have new uniballs ready to install but they seem to be tight still. I have new wheel bearing hub assemblies ready to install but need to check the old ones. Last time I jacked the truck up and looked for play in the wheel it was only side to side so I changed tres and it seemed good up and down. Idk how bad my alignment is but it seems to drive semi straight. I also have dyna beads in my wheels for balancing and they have always worked great so I'd be surprised if the wheels are unbalanced but I suppose its possible. Wondering if front diff needle bearing could be cause of these issues since you guys were talking about it. How do you know when it's bad? What issues were you having with yours Scott?

The needle bearing will absolutely cause slop but shouldn't be a big issue for Vibs? When does it start to vib (MPH) as I was having this issue as well and it turned out that the ADD was locked and causing it:eek:. Now I know it can happen with mine because I have to hit a switch to lock the ADD, just wondering if maybe your actuator might be stuck?

So as posted before I had some Hella Black Magic 500's that have been sitting around for some time, and I recently decided to toss them on. Well, to say the least I was unimpressed with the output though I like the subdued look when their off.

    I ordered up some
HID H3c xenons and retrofit them into the housings. Now I have pretty impressive set of lights for a low price point.

This was before with the halogens:

    ...and now with the HID's

2 weeks from yesterday. I'm going to camp friday night at the site in vermont and then head over to mt washington area saturday. I have monday and tuesday off as well so i'll take my time exploring saturday, drive up to the top of mt washington sunday, do some sight seeing monday and then drive home tuesday.

so actually.. if you just want to make a normal weekend out of it you could just camp at the site in vermont and maybe bgr will go too

so today my truck was making a bunch of noises, so I pulled over to take a look. the driver side cv boot was sucked in all the way and cv grease had sprayed all over. I grabbed the cv and it has a little play in and out, which seems normal, but it has a lot of play left and right and up and down. makes me think its the needle bearing...

I'm going to call Chase at ECGS tomorrow to talk to him about the bushing and see if thats what he thinks it is.

    Sound right?

Mine had a ton of play as well but it never spat its blood. It doesn't sound like the needle bearing is the cause of the boot letting go? If you need a replacement boot I have a spare OEM kit with grease and all. Let me know if you want it?

yea I'm not sure what caused the boot to slide.. the tie rod boot slid a little as well so something may have happened the last time I wheeled.

You have the removal tool for the needle bearing right? Probably cheaper to pay for shipping than to buy one from ECGS right? I'm not sure if the boot is torn at all, but I figured it would be a good time to replace it while I have the cv off anyway. what do you want for the boot?
