When my truck doesn’t get driven for two or three days I turn on my a/c and nothing happens. Till I bang on the glove box and it kicks on. Bought the truck about 2 months ago and didn’t have a cabin filter in it. Could gunk have gotten in it? Any other ideas ?

Your connector to the blow motor is probably burned out and you likely need to replace your blower motor resistor with the TSB version to keep it from melting again.

    Stock. EZ pass.Dump pass.Inspection sticker.Convict printed lic.plates.FG cap.
Trash does get in the blower over time.
    Sometimes rodents build nests there.
I had to hit the bottom of the blower motor to get it started untill it wouldn't start and I replaced it.
1st gens don't have a cabin air filter just a fine mesh screen in the cowling.

Check the connector at the resistor for melting

Check the plug going into the blower for melting

Might be the brushes in the blower motor going bad
