71607730-97BC-40AF-BFAF-FE3BB75B2FF7.jpg I’ve had a couple guys contact me interested in the hose adapter I made to redirect the A/C drip directly to the ground. If you check out the “ what have you done thread” there’s some images of the setup.

I put together a little kit-
The adapter (6061 alum.) machined to fit inside stock drip tube-other end machined to accept 1/4 tubing
    24” tubing ( I cut mine at 19-3/8)
    2 mini zip ties

    $42 shipped USPS priority mail.
I machined in a cavity that allows some packing/ screen as some people were talking about wasps and other bugs being an issue where they live.

there have been many versions used to accomplish this, this is how I did it

Well not sure how this applies to the M/T. My taco is a 2021 SR5 LB with A/T.

Vorra65, do your thing man! Kit looks top notch, if I hadn't already done this mod i'd be all over it... p.s. between you and me I paid $100 for a silly shift knob :bananadance:

Does the adapter reduce the size of the original drain?

Yes, the ID of the OEM drain tube is just shy of 1/2” - the adapter necks down to 1/4” OD and 3/16 “ ID. The large end is machined to 3/8 “ ID
    Drains perfect

How does the adapter actually mount up to the factory drain?

It fits snugly into the factory drain, the machined surface much like a fuel filter has a raised area on the end. Slip it into the drain tube till it stops, put the zip tie on, and repeat the steps for the smaller tubing. In the photos, you can see I routed mine down to the brake line bracket. Then back and down on the outside of the frame between the furthest 2 tabs that hold the splash guard. You could route the hose a number of ways, and before attaching the zip ties- I would recommend routing it a few different ways to see which you like best. I just found this to work best for me.

Do you have any pictures of the adapter fitted to the factory drain tube. I can’t quite picture it with the zip tie on your fitting.

I’ve yet to put the zip ties on mine, but here is a picture of the initial fitment before I finished machining the other parts of the 6061. As you can see the aluminum butts up against the factory drain. The zip tie would be added just after the aluminum on both sides. I hope the pics can help you visualize where the zip ties would go. 3846337A-782C-49A8-879E-ECEAD8E1B6D4.jpg

Transmission shouldn't matter right? Would this work just fine on M/T?

If your M/T truck has the drip tube coming out of the passenger side firewall- then yes it would absolutely work. Just can’t imagine Toyota changing the cab just for the drivetrain.

I just watched a video, of a M/T taco- the drip hose appears to be in the exact same location both A/T as well as M/T.
