Hey all - first time poster. I've got a 2008 Tacoma TRD Crew Cab 2x4. The A/C problem I'm having is, sometimes it blows and sometimes it doesn't. What seems to happen is, I'll hit a significant bump and the air kicks on, then if I hit another bump, it'll kick back off. Obviously I've got a bad connection somewhere. Any ideas on what I can do to solve this problem without taking it to the dealer or mechanic? Fingers crossed that somebody else has had this issue!

    Thanks in advance - JC

First thing to do when diagnosing your AC is to get a set of manifold gauges. I used the "mountain r134" gauges from Amazon with good results. You might have to pull a vacuum on the system to make sure you dont have a leak. You can find the AC vacuum pumps on amazon and ebay. Check this guy for a good amount of info on how to get started.

Common issue is the blower fan connection or the connector to the fan itself. The blower is below the dash behind the glove box.

You may need both connectors or only one check them both. Below is the parts and part numbers of what is needed to repair both.

    Part number 90980-10916 Connector

Part Number 82998-12380 Wire and terminal

Not sold as a kit, sold as each. So you will need one of the plugs and two of the terminal and wires.

    Connector:

You may also have a burned resistor connector and may need these:

    Plug Number 82141-04M40
    Resistor Number 87138-04052
