Have you ever fix a small chip (from a rock) on your windshield by yourself? I'm thinking of doing it myself or have it done by a repair shop.

Check out your insurance- It may be covered...No cost to you. Otherwise I'd get a shop to do it do it's warranted. (Most will replace the windshield if the chip cracks out after the repair)

just find a local safelite. give them you policy # and they can check to see if your covered. good thing about this is that if you are, you can set up an apt for them to come out right then and there. I just did this last week and the guy came to my office and fixed my windshield while i was at work! did a great job too.
